Haphazard Splendor

I have the pleasure of watching the amazing gardens on Temple Square transform each Spring and Fall.  I think most visitors would be surprised at how it happens.

One day the Square is vibrant with flowers of every variety and color, and then, almost overnight they are pulled up and discarded. During the following week, plants and bulbs are haphazardly scattered on the flower beds. Hundreds of youth from around the valley then descend on Temple Square and bury them in the soil. By the time the snow melts in the Spring the gardens will be a remarkable splendor.
